Our Mission
We empower Holocaust Survivors by creating opportunities for connection, while providing the tools necessary for them to spread their message of acceptance and unity. By educating and inspiring individuals from ALL walks of life, it will NEVER happen again.
Our Why
Moran Alfasi is a third-generation Holocaust Survivor who started this organization. Her grandmother, Leah Greiner, was a Survivor who saved three girls in the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, making her Moran’s very first Holocaust Hero. Below are some of Moran’s own words on the impact her grandmother had on her life and why she started Holocaust Heroes Worldwide.
“My grandma Leah always told me ... ‘first you should be a human being’. She was a woman of faith and generosity. She shared with us the atrocities of what the Nazis did, however she always made a point to tell us about the ones who wouldn’t stand by and watch what happened. The ones who took action, even though it was risky for them, they were the ones who ultimately saved her life. She gave me so much strength which has enabled me to rise up through numerous challenges and obstacles. Above all else, she taught me to love your neighbor as yourself. This is what this organization, Holocaust Heroes Worldwide is all about; remembering what happened, honoring all Survivors in addition to the ones that were lost and more than anything, to act with a sense of love, acceptance and unity each day ... so it will never happen again. The Survivors are the ones who have experienced what hate can do at its worst, so they know how to rise up from the dust and depths of despair. Therefore, their voices are more powerful than any others and can bring people together as a result. We should all empower them to spread their messages of strength, unity and acceptance while there is still time.”
Our Work
This organization was created with the intention of inspiring people from all walks of life with the Survivor’s powerful lessons. Through special projects, events and initiatives, real connections are being made between the Survivors and community members. It is our stance that as a result of these relationships, nothing like the Holocaust will ever happen to anyone again. As part of this mission, we set a goal for ourselves to bring as much joy into the Survivor’s daily lives as possible. With this in mind, we have created a network of volunteers known as the Tribe Project who come together to bring a meaningful sense of continuous friendship and connection into the lives of the Survivors. In addition to that support, educational and awareness events are held which reach people of all ages, backgrounds and religions. We also strive to reach students through our ‘Future program’, in order to educate and empower our future generations to take the lead on this subject.

At Holocaust Heroes Worldwide we believe that every person can make a difference by contributing their skills, time and resources.
Every survivor has a story; a message, to share with the world. We have a great responsibility to support them, so that their voice can be heard.
We empower individuals as well as volunteers and partners to form connections to Holocaust survivors. We do this through community events, educational initiatives and various projects.
